Denson Construction Services is a certified woman-owned business dedicated to high-quality construction, renovations, and real estate development in Detroit.

We are proudly certified through the Great Lakes Women’s Business Council, recognized as a Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB), Economically Disadvantaged Woman Owned Small Business (EDWOSB), and Small Business Enterprise (SBE).

Our team specializes in lead-safe renovations as certified Lead Abatement Supervisors with the State of Michigan and the EPA (Certification # NAT-F169286-1) under the Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Rule.

With expertise in Building Science Principles (BPI), Healthy Housing Principles, and Building Analyst Technician training, we are committed to creating energy-efficient, sustainable, and safe housing solutions. This certification is required for us to perform renovation, repair, and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities and pre-schools built before 1978. A graduate of Jackson State University, she graduated with honors in 2006 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Industrial Engineering Technology. While attending, she was a member of the famous Sonic Boom of the South Marching Band, National Association of Industrial Technology (NAIT), Epsilon Pi Tau Honor Technology Society of Professionals, Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), and Who’s Who Among American College Students Scholar.

Ms. Denson is also a graduate of Eastern Michigan University and she obtained her Masters of Science in Construction Management in 2012. ​ ​ Ms. Denson has constantly learned from her life experiences and developed skills in both learning and life management.

She is a very motivated person with goal setting; time management and prioritizing skills that has helped her to achieve whatever she set her mind to do. Her goal is to establish a successful and profitable /general contracting firm that will focus on home renovations, road construction, apprenticeship program, and consulting.

The apprenticeship program would train at-risk youth, ex-offenders, and adults who want a career change to become electricians, heating and cooling technicians, carpenters, etc.

Ms. Denson plans to assist the apprenticeship graduates in finding employment. She would also like to provide stipends for students to pay for gas, food, books, etc. This in turn will be a great opportunity to bring transformation to the at-risk youth, ex-offenders and adults looking for the chance to change their lives. Ms. Denson’s young age is not a factor when it comes to taking care of business. She is very eager and determined to become successful in life and in expanding her business to a higher level, as she is a firm believer in working with a “Spirit of Excellence.” For this reason, Ms. Denson is very active in her community.

She volunteers as a big sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Michigan and with Habitat for Humanity. She is a member of the Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program Alumni, National Association of Industrial Technology (NAIT), Epsilon Pi Tau Honor Technology Society of Professionals, Society of Manufacturing and Student Engineers (SME), Society of Women Engineers (SWE), Construction Management Association of America (CMAA), Detroit Young Professionals (DYP) and National Association of Professional Women.

It brings her great pleasure knowing that being a mentor can really help shape a young girl’s future. Her volunteer services and care allows her to be a positive influence to the youth she mentors.
